As the Distributed Organizing Manager, Saskia works with volunteers and local leaders to build political power across the country. Utilizing digital tools and a mix of online and offline tactics, Saskia helps activists around the country take action on the most urgent issues of the day. Saskia also ensures the team’s organizers have the tools necessary to succeed and provides strategic support.
Prior to Food & Water Watch, Saskia was a community organizer for five years in Chicago focusing on retirement security, economic justice, and voter engagement, as well as an Ameri-Corps VISTA working on housing and tenant law issues.
Saskia graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a degree in Political Science with an Emphasis in Legal Studies, and also holds a Juris Doctorate from Mitchell Hamline School of Law.
