Ray Kemble is a man who has courage. When fracking riddled his community with public health issues like polluted water, he stood strong against Cabot Oil and Gas in order to protect people. Because it was the right thing to do.
He didn’t let Cabot’s intimidation tactics stop him from doing the right thing, and that has made him the kind of fighter Food & Water Watch is proud to stand with — because it’s the right thing to do.
Since settling their lawsuit earlier this decade, Cabot has continued to rack up violation after violation in Susquehanna County, where Ray lives — 243 violations, to be exact. They’ve also taken aggressive measures to silence him, like suing him for speaking about the dangers of fracking.
Cabot is accusing Ray of breach of settlement, but Cabot is breaching the regulations it agreed to in order to frack. Despite these 243 violations in Susquehanna County, Cabot is still allowed to continue fracking throughout the region, putting peoples’ drinking water, homes and health in danger.
We’re still standing with Ray and an outpouring of our members have said they’ll have his back, too. Will you chip in today to help back him up against Cabot?
