Dozens of Marylanders and Elected Officials Gather For Introduction of Urgent 100% Renewable Energy State Bill
Baltimore, MD — On Thursday, August 24th, at noon Marylanders will meet in Baltimore’s Federal Hill Park to call for 100% renewable energy by 2035. Delegate Shane Robinson will announce plans to introduce legislation that will move Maryland to 100% clean energy by 2035 by replacing problematic state renewable portfolio standards with clean energy mandates and incentivizing the development of in-state clean energy generation.
In order to protect Maryland from the devastating impacts of climate change, we must end our reliance on fossil fuels and ensure a just transition to 100% clean, renewable energy as soon as possible.
