This year, we are launching a dynamic campaign to rally Californians in support of a fair, sustainable food system that generates jobs and healthy communities. Congress will be taking up the next Farm Bill in 2012 and it’s up to us to demand more support for family farmers and healthy food. That means that Congress must take steps to end the stranglehold that large corporations have on our food system.

In addition to our Farm Bill work, our Bay Area staff is busy working with communities in places like Marin, Monterey, and Novato to keep California’s precious water resources in public hands.

Our Central Valley office is working to stop water pollution from industrial dairies while supporting sustainable, healthy food and farms throughout the Valley.

And in Los Angeles, we’re standing with communities that want sustainable long-term public water solutions, not expensive, privately-run desalination plants.
