When I scan my Inbox each day, I single out emails from Food & Water Watch because they keep me up-to-date on back-room shenanigans that affect relevant issues that are of concern to me... like the food I buy in the grocery store! And when they ask me to do something, I do it.

Tap vs. Bottled

Why Tap Water Wins

Don’t Be Fooled

Watch Food & Water Watch staff take to the streets, pretending to promote a new high-end brand of bottled water.

  • Bottled water is not only a waste of your money, it puts tons of polluting waste into the planet as well.
  • Bottled water creates mountains of garbage and causes other environmental problems.
  • Bottled water is thousands of times more expensive than tap.
  • Bottled water is not healthier than tap. A recent study that tested popular brands of bottled found 38 different harmful chemicals, including painkillers, fertilizer and arsenic, in 10 brands of bottled water.

The verdict is clear:

There’s no good reason for drinking bottled water in the U.S. Buy a reusable bottle and a filter and you’re all set to take back the tap!
