Kira Burkhart

Kira Burkhart is a Senior Climate & Energy Researcher at Food & Water Watch. She uses research to support advocacy efforts that promote a more sustainable future and protect public health. She has previously worked as a Senior Research Analyst at the Environmental Integrity Project and as a contractor in the EPA’s Office of Pesticide Programs.

Kira earned her master’s in public health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, where she focused on environmental health, sustainability, and risk science. She also holds a bachelor’s in environmental science and policy from the University of Maryland and a certificate in GIS from George Mason University. She can be reached at kburkhart(at)fwwatch.org
