Leah Ford is a researcher at Food & Water Watch that works on issues concerning energy consumption, factory farming, climate mitigation and the environmental justice impacts on vulnerable communities and health.
She has previously worked as a policy consultant for Swey to address the implications of poverty and developed her own research with WomenNC on the built environment’s effects on women and health. Leah earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she studied Public Policy, Global Studies and Women and Gender Studies. She is currently a graduate student and Bloomberg American Health Initiative Fellow at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She can be reached at lford(at)fwwatch.org.
